Bishops, Pastors Storm Venue Of Unveiling Of Shettima Despite Criticism Of Muslim-Muslim Ticket (Photos)

A coalition of Bishops and some pastors attended the official unveiling of Senator Kashim Shettima as the vice presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

Recall that on Tuesday, the Christian body issued an official statement rejecting the selection of Kashim Shettima as the running mate to Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

However, despite the criticism, many men of God attended the official unveiling of Senator Kashim Shettima.

According to reports, the Bishops in their numbers were seen dressed in their cassock at the Musa Yar’adu centre, where the event took place.

Speaking with Blueprint correspondent, one of the Bishops who pleaded anonymity revealed that they were at the event to declare their support for Tinubu-Shettima presidential ticket.

Meanwhile, the security situation in and around the venue has been tightened due to how a crowd of supporters and praise singers besieged the venue. It was gathered that the crowd made it difficult for invited guests and Journalists to gain entrance.
