Chadwick Boseman’s $2.3 Million Estate Will Be Split Between His Widow And His Parents

Late American actor, Chadwick Boseman’s estate is set to be evenly split between his widow, Taylor Simone Ledward, 31, and his parents, Leroy and Carolyn.

Recall that the Black Panther star died on August 28, 2020, at the age of 43 after battling colon cancer.

The deceased left behind a $2.3 million fortune, after taxes, funeral, legal, and lawyer fees were subtracted and a total value of Boseman’s estate was estimated to be about $3,881,758 prior to the various fees.

However, he reportedly didn’t have a will at the hour of his passing, and this implies that the amount of legal fees the family needed to pay out was a lot higher than if he had one.

Two months after his death, Chadwick Boseman’s wife, Taylor Simone Ledward filed a probate case in L.A, asking to be made an administrator with limited authority over her late husband’s estate.

Now, Taylor has asked for her husband’s estate to be split between herself and her in-laws.

According to Black Enterprise, Simone Ledward, who was in charge of settling the estate, is set to receive $1.15 million from the estate. An equal number will be given to her late husband’s parents.

Note that a year before his death, Chadwick and Simone, who had been together since 2016, got married in secret.

It wasn’t until the actor’s passing that the family confirmed to the public that he was married.
