Hoodlums invade Catholic church, cart away PVC reg machines in lagos

On Friday, the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration, CVR, exercise at St. Bridget Catholic Church in Ijesha, Surulere area of Lagos State, was disrupted by hoodlums.
According to reports, the incident occurred less than 72 hours before the CVR’s closure by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
It was gathered that the thugs carted away INEC’s Continuous Voter Registration machines.

Confirming the sad incident, an eyewitness named Dr. Ambassador Princess Okojie Igbemudia revealed that the hoodlums stormed the church and disrupted the exercise because those registering will vote for the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi.
Following the incident, the Parish Priest locked up the church while people scampered for safety. The police had been deployed to the area to ensure that peace and order is restored.
