Fair City favourite Johnny Ward announces engagement to his girlfriend Brenda.
Recall that the Love/Hate star has been dating Brenda since February 2021.
Last year, Johnny told RSVP Live how the pair met.
According to him, he ran to her aid when she tripped while out walking on the Curragh in Kildare.
“I checked to see if she was okay. We walked in the same direction afterwards and it was almost like the way panto characters would meet.” He added.
Giving more detail while speaking with his followers on social media, Johnny said; “We got chatting on Instagram a couple of days after and we did the walk again.”
Well, the couple is now engaged and Johnny Ward couldn’t hold back his excitement.
Taking to his Instagram page, the actor shared photos of him going down on one knee to ask his ‘best friend’ the all-important question.
The 35-year-old captioned it;
“Delighted to finally announce that my best friend said Yes! Brenda and I are getting married July 2023. Thank you for making me the happiest man in the world. Love you more than anything.”

“Omg yay!!!!! Whoop whoop!! So delighted for you both.” Fellow Coppers the Musical actor Fiona O’Carroll wrote.
Note that It is Johnny’s first relationship following a brief romance with dancer Emily Barker after they were partnered on Dancing With The Stars.
Also, His fiancée runs a salon in Dunlavin, Co Wicklow.
