Suspected Y@hoo Boy On The Run After Allegedly R@ping 14-Year-Old Girl To De@th In Imo (Videos)
Angry youths of Iwunze, in Umuduruewuewuru, Umuezeala Nsu in Ehime Mbano Local Government Area of Imo state have set ablaze the newly built house belonging to a suspected Yahoo boy, Ifeanyi Osuji over alleged defilement and mysterious death of a 14-year-old girl, Amarachi.
According to sources in the community, the 22-year-old suspect, who is currently now on the run, raped the teenager to death in his house.
It was gathered that the lifeless body of the teenager which was stained with sperm, was found in the suspect’s room on Sunday, June 12.
Confirming the news, a source in the community told PUNCH that the suspect escaped after his mother raised an alarm. This attracted residents and indigenes to the scene.
Following the death of the teenager, angry youths stormed the house of the suspect on Monday morning, June 13, and set it ablaze.
Mr Okechukwu Oguowere, the Deputy PG of the community claimed the teenager was murdered for ritual purposes.
According to him, the deceased’s cousin, Uche Iwunze, who took her to the suspect’s house has been caught and handed over to the police for interrogation.
While stating that Uche Iwunze is an apprentice to the fleeing suspect, Okechukwu added that they both conspired to use the girl for money ritual.
Meanwhile, the Publicity Secretary of Umuezeala Nsu Youth Organisation, Nathan Onyenehido, who confirmed the incident, said the victim’s corpse was discovered by the suspect’s mother in his room on Sunday.
He said;
“Little Amarachi Iwunze from Umuduruewuru, Umuezeala Nsu Autonomous Community in Ehime Mbano LGA of Imo State was raped to death on Sunday 12th June, 2022 by one Ifeanyi Osuji, a suspected Yahoo plus boy/ ritualist from Agbaghara Nsu Autonomous Community in Ehime Mbano LGA Area of Imo State.
The ugly news came late hours of yesterday when the mother of the suspect unlocked a room and found the dead body of little Amarachi lying lifeless. On raising the alarm, it was discovered that Ifeanyi Osuji, her son, is the suspect and the killer.
When Ifeanyi Osuji found out that people are now aware of his ugly act, he took to his heels to an unknown destination.
Till this very moment, he was wanted. All we are seeking is justice for little Amarachi.
Raymond Iwunze, the victim’s grandfather, a 79-year-old retired driver, said he was the one taking care of the teenager after the death of her mother.
He said;
“Amarachi is my granddaughter. My first son’s daughter. I want the government to give me justice. Her father, my first son, is in Lagos. She had been with me since the death of her mother, my daughter-in-law. “
The spokesperson of the State Police Command, Micheal Abattam says investigation had commenced.
