Uduah Frank Akpan, K!ller Of Late Job Seeker, Inubong Umoreh, Sentenced To De@Th By H@nging, Attempts To Escape (Video)

Uduah Frank Akpan, the killer of late job seeker, Iniubong Umoreh, has been sentenced to death by hanging.

It could be recalled that in April 2021, Late Iniubong, who is a University of Uyo philosophy graduate, was raped and murdered by the suspect.

It was gathered that while the deceased was waiting to be mobilized for the mandatory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program, she decided to look for work. The young lady announced via Social media that she is in need of a job.

Akpan pretended to have a position for her and gave her an address for the interview.

However, when she arrived at his place, the suspect raped Inubong Umoreh before killing her.

After an investigation was carried out, Uduah Frank Akpan was arrested and arraigned in court.

He was later sentenced to death today in court.

In a live video made by BBC on Facebook in the high court in Uyo, the elder brother of late Iniubong Umoreh revealed that his family is happy with the court judgement.

According to him,  he had no idea that a family like his without connection could get Justice that fast.

Confirming the news, their lawyer stated that despite the justice being served, it is tragic that it cannot bring the deceased back to life.

He also revealed that all through the hearing, the accused, Uduak Frank Akpan never showed any kind of remorse.

When the accused’s lawyer asked if the case would be appealed, he replied that it is not his decision to make.

After he was sentence to death, Akpan made an attempt to flee the court but was quickly apprehended.
